Directions to Porches on the Towpath
New
Hope, Pennsylvania is located on the Delaware River,
on the PA/NJ line, about halfway between Philadelphia
and New York City. Porches Bed and Breakfast is in the
heart of New Hope, just off North Main Street at 20
Fisher's Alley.
From New York City (driving
time about 90 minutes):
From the Lincoln or Holland Tunnel, take the New Jersey
Turnpike ( I-95) south to I-78 (exit 14).
Take I-78 west to I-287 (exit 29). Take I-287 south
to US-202 Flemington exit. (There are several exits
for 202 along 287, which can be confusing for the first-time
visitor).
Follow US-202 south to the Pennsylvania bridge. After
crossing the bridge, take the first right, PA-32 south
to New Hope. Turn right at the end of the ramp.
Follow PA-32 into New Hope. Turn right on Fisher's Alley,
across the street from The Landing restaurant. (1.1
miles from exit ramp).
Porches Bed and Breakfast is 20 Fisher's Alley, on the
Delaware Canal.

From Philadelphia (driving
time about 50 minutes):
From Philadelphia, take I-95 north to the New Hope exit
(exit 51). This is the last exit in Pennsylvania.
Turn left on to Taylorsville Rd. Follow Taylorsville
Road to PA-32 (about 5 miles).
Turn left on to PA-32 (River Road), and follow it into
New Hope (about 4 miles).
Drive through New Hope to the traffic light.
The first left after the light is Fisher's Alley, across
the street from The Landing restaurant (about 110 feet).
Porches Bed and Breakfast is 20 Fisher's Alley, on the
Delaware Canal.

Washington, DC (driving time about 3 hours):
Take US-50 east out of Washington to MD-295 (Baltimore-Washington
Parkway).
Take MD-295 to I-895 (Harbor Tunnel Thruway) to I-95
north.
Take I-95 north to I-495 north (exit 5-D). This is the
bypass around Wilmington, DE.
Take I-495 north to I-95 north. Continue on I-95 north
to the New Hope exit(exit 51). This is the last exit
in Pennsylvania.
Turn left on to Taylorsville Rd. Follow Taylorsville
Road to PA-32 (about 5 miles).
Turn left on to PA-32 (River Road), and follow it into
New Hope (about 4 miles).
